Meditations for zodiac signs – August 2017
These are Simple meditative exercises for you according to the zodiac sign you belong. Enjoy.
You associate strongly to air. Light some fragrant incense sticks and sit in the same room for a while as they burn. Let the aroma permeate your sense and bring a sense of peace and quiet.
You associate strongly to water. Close your eyes and imagine – ‘Get wet in the rain. Look up to the sky and let the rain fall on your face for a few seconds. Feel the rain wash away all the negativity of others and yours. Consciously feel the water droplets sliding off your body and clothes and cleansing you in the process at a deeper level. ‘
It is fire that you have an affinity towards. Light a lamp and focus on the flame as it burns bright. Concentrate on the flame for a few minutes. Try to be as still as the flame before you.
Mother Earth calls out to you. Go out and hug any big tree that you feel a pull towards in a garden or a park. Put your arms around it, close your eyes and put your cheek on the cool bark. Connect to nature.
Being an air sign, you can tune in well to your breath. Sit in a comfortable position and close your eyes. Focus on your inhalation and exhalation. Be conscious of every breath that goes in and out. You will feel a stillness deep within and feel more relaxed.
Sit comfortably and drink a glass of water. Feel the water go down in your throat as you slowly swallow the water. Imagine the water going down your throat and cleansing you from within as it travels down. Feel it being absorbed in your body.
Go out in the early morning sun. Stand with your face upturned and your eyes closed. Soak up the sun’s rays on your body as you feel enveloped in the golden sun energy. Stand for a minute or two and feel as every cell in your body is pulsing with the sun energy.
Being an Earth sign, you connect to mother earth. Walk barefoot on the ground for a few minutes. Walk on mud /bare ground / grass and consciously try to gently clutch the earth with your toes. Feel the earth beneath your feet soothing and healing in its own way.
Connect to your element. Take flowers fragrant and fresh. Hold them in your hand. Close your eyes, take a deep breath and smell them. With every deep breath, feel the fragrance and aroma enter you through your lungs. Let the positive energy and smell seep into your cells.
Your love for water makes this mediation enjoyable. When having a shower or bath, as the water falls on your body, imagine it to be crystal white and covering your body in a crystal white sheen. Feel rejuvenated and tingling at the end of your bath.
You are a fire sign. Eat a hot meal of your choice. Eat slowly and as you chew the food, be aware of how the hot food tastes in your mouth. How would the same meal taste if it was cold. As you eat it, savour it and feel it travel down in your stomach. This is food which gives you energy. when eating hot food be positive and keep a quite state of mind.
As you are an Earth sign, wearing browns and greens will make you feel more connected to Mother Earth. Wear earth coloured clothes for the whole day and observe how you feel. This will enhance a feeling of security and comfort.
